This summer, Huston-Tillotson University, Austin's only historically black university and oldest institution of higher learning, received news that an anonymous donor had written a check to buy 15 new Steinway pianos for the music program.
KMFA took a behind-the-scenes tour with Music Director Dr. Gloria Quinlan earlier this month, and sat in on a rehearsal for the University Choir's Celebrating the Season, which will take place this Sunday, December 3 at 6 p.m. at the King-Seabrook Chapel.
